MIS announces participation at Transrussia
Maxx Intermodal Systems takes part in Tranrussia in Moscow from 27 till 30 April. Transrussia is the largest international transport event in Russia. This year, the exhibition is said to attract 458 exhibitors from 33 different countries.
By participating in Transrussia, the company aims to highlight its services.
“Russia is one of our key strategic markets,” explains Mr Raf De Schutter, Managing Director of Maxx Intermodal Systems Moscow. “Since 1994, we are providing a very distinctive regional focus, offering a full range of services, including short sea shipments, deliveries by rail, shipments of oversized cargo and port forwarding.”
The company first took part in Transrussia in 2003. It has since increased its presence.
“The exhibition is a great event to build and consolidate on existing relationships with partners, agents and subcontractors,” says Mr De Schutter. “It is a wonderful opportunity to receive an update of the market situation and get a better insight in possible new routes and partners.”
Mr De Schutter also wants to use the occasion to outline the company’s plans for the future.
“The logistics market in Russia is still growing and our company is continuously looking for new opportunities. Lately, we have been developing our position for shipments via the port of St. Petersburg. This year, we are also planning to increase our presence in the Russian regions. By the end of 2010, we are opening new representative offices in Novorossiysk and Vladivostok.”
In regards to the exhibition, Mr Martin De Sterck, CEO of Maxx Intermodal Systems was quoted as saying: “Our presence in Russia is constantly increasing.
